Paid Research Participation
The HML is continuously recruiting participants for various research studies. We are seeking participants between the ages of 25 and 75 who are in good health. Individuals from all backgrounds and levels of education are invited to inquire about participation.
In addition, we are looking for individuals, age 18 to 75, who have significant memory problems related to medical conditions such as stroke, encephalitis, cardiac arrest, brain injury or brain surgery. To be eligible, individuals would have significant memory problems, but should not be suffering from other cognitive problems such as dementia. Interested individuals should have first seen a doctor and had a medical diagnosis relating to their memory problems.
Unfortunately, we are not able to diagnose or treat mental or medical problems. If you are concerned about your health, please contact your doctor.
Participation:
Participants are seen at the Human Memory Lab on the UC Davis campus, where we run a variety of research studies. Participants may be asked to take part in several types of studies, ranging from simple computer-based tasks to magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) studies. The length and type of studies available will change with time, and is dependent on the current stage of research in the lab.
Compensation:
Participants are compensated at a rate of $15 per hour for their time in the lab, as well as travel expenses for those traveling from outside of Davis.
Contact:
To determine eligibility, we have a brief prescreening procedure that can be completed over the phone; simply contact Cheryl at chglee@ucdavis.edu.
Undergraduate Research Assistants
We generally hire new research assistants depending on the needs of our graduate students and new projects. Please fill out the following Google form and include a resume if you are interested in being considered for a position in the future.
